If your search retrieves too many records to browse, choose the Limit/Sort option. By filling in blanks and/or using the dropdown menus, you can limit by one or more of the following:

Year (or range of years) of publication
Material type (e.g., printed material, printed music, musical scores, sound recording, ebook, etc.)
Language (e.g., Spanish, French, etc.)
Where the item is located (e.g., Circulating Collection, Reference, Fort Wayne, Louisville, etc.)
From the dropdown menu:
- Words in the author's name
- Words in the title
- Words in the subject heading
Sort the results:
- System Sorted
- Title
- Author
- Year-Oldest First
- Year-Newest First
- Call Number
Truncation may now be used on authors, titles, subjects and publishers. Use the stem of the word and the * symbol. For example: comput*

Choose all desired limits, before clicking on the search bar at the bottom of the screen.

For example: To find an encyclopedia published after 2000 in the reference collection, select SUBJECT, then type "encyclopedias". Click on LIMIT/SORT, then in YEAR of publication, in the box, type 2000; select WHERE item is located, then choose Reference collection (Main Library). Now click on the search bar to get the results of your search with those limits.
